Our Process

We work with our clients to help understand your financial needs and goals, to then enable the formulation of appropriate strategy advice to work towards having those goals met.

The
Meeting
Process

Part One

During the first 45 minutes to 60 minutes, we firstly explain the advice process we undertake and our obligations to you under Best Interests Duty.

We then would like you to outline what you are looking to achieve, considering the relevant points in the ‘Questions & Considerations’ list below. When combined with an outline of your current financial position, this helps us understand what is important to you, and we can then provide a fixed cost amount for personal advice.

Part Two

At this point in the meeting, you can either decide to ‘think about it’ or progress to having personal advice prepared. You will be provided with a fixed cost quote for personal advice.

We require around another 75-90 minutes to then commence documenting all required personal financial information and targeted goals to enable advice to be prepared.

Timelines

Personal advice usually takes around five to six weeks to be prepared, however may take longer, depending on the level of complexity of your financial position and the types of strategy advice required.

Personal advice is provided by way of a written Statement of Advice (SoA). These were once known as Financial Plans.

Pricing

We provide fixed cost, point in time personal financial advice, meaning we agree to a fixed cost upfront with no ongoing adviser fees or commissions based on your advice.

Singles

from $3,520 (incl. GST).

Couples

from $4,620  (incl. GST).

The Initial Meeting has a consultation fee of $220 (incl. GST). This cost is waived if you proceed to having personal advice prepared.

The agreed fixed cost will include implementation completion (paperwork) with all strategies.

Questions & Considerations

We will help you consider answers to questions you may have, including:

  • When would I / we like to retire?
  • Can I / we afford to retire and would our retirement funds and / or savings last?
  • What level of income would I / we like to have in retirement?
  • What would I / we like to do to in retirement?
  • Do I / we want to be able to travel extensively?
  • Do I / we have other financial goals – such as lifestyle purchases or helping out family?
  • If possible, where could Age Pension benefits fit into my / our situation?
  • Are my / our Estate Planning affairs in order?

Clear advice, grounded in what matters most to you.
